School Council

On Friday the Goodrich Academy school council met and will develop a project to honor veterans. The council will place wreaths on the gravestones of veterans at St. Bernard's Cemetery near our school. We determined that 50 gravestones would be our goal. A council member called Market Basket about donating wreaths. Hopefully we can obtain wreaths by Friday the 22nd.

New Trimester

Welcome new and returning students to second trimester. I will post news about upcoming classroom activities. Ms. Curry and I are forming a student council. I will announce more details on Friday. 

New Principal

Its been a busy trimester at Goodrich Academy. Alexis Curry has been named Acting Principal . Congratulation to Ms. Curry who has earned that honor. Progress notes have been sent home. Finals for Trimester 1 are only 3 weeks away. I will be posting pictures of students performing community service soon. Also Ms. Curry and I will be starting a new student council starting 2nd Trimester. Check back for more details .

First Week of School

Welcome all new and returning students to Goodrich Academy. I will be planning a return trip to the State House this school year. I will provide more details in a few weeks.

Senior Finals

Congratulations to the seniors . Grades are in and finals done. Looking forward to the graduation ceremony on Thursday. I will post pictures hopefully by Friday.

State House visit on Friday May 12th

Here are the pictures of Goodrich Academy's 1st student trip to the Massachusetts State House in Boston. I would like to thank Representative Stephan Hay and his legislative aid Meghan Pierce for hosting the students. The students enjoyed the Q & A in the House chambers with Representative Stephan Hay.

State House Trip

This Friday Mr. Dewar and I will be taking a group of students to the State House to meet Rep. Stephan Hay. Remember we meet at 7:45 at Fitchburg train station on Main Street. Bring your school I.D. . I will be posting pictures next week.

Progress Notes

Progress notes will be sent out next week. See me if you need to make up classwork and projects. Students who are going on the State House trip need to bring permission slips this week. Also get a school I.D from Mr. Wilson.

StateHouse Trip

Trimester 3 is in full swing. World History students are working on Holocaust projects. Geography students are about to start African country project, U.S. History is studying the J.F.K assassination, and Government is working on ICIVICS. Monday I will start creating list of potential students who want to attend Statehouse trip on Friday May 12th.

New Trimester

We started our new trimester on Monday March 13th. Hopefully we have no more snow days! I will update students on the State House trip soon. Remember to watch your attendance!

Final Exams

Congratulations to all Trimester 2 students for completing final exams On Monday we start 3rd Trimester. Welcome all new incoming students and returners.

State House Visit

On May 12th all my students will be invited to the Massachusetts State House in Boston . State Rep Stephan Hay will host us on our tour of the State House. I will provide more details to students as 3rd semester begins.

World History class did a great job with its Holocaust presentations .

Progress Notes

Progress Notes will be sent home next week. If you are missing assignments or tests, arrange with me a time to make up the work. Trimester 2 ends March 10th. Mayor Steve DiNatale will reschedule his visit to my Government class very soon. I will post the date.

Marine Visit

Steve DiNatale had to reschedule class visit. Our 12:15 class did have Sgt Soto of the Marines visit and talk to the students. Thanks Sgt Soto.

New Year

We are now six weeks into the 2nd Trimester. Watch your attendance and make-up missing assignments. Progress notes are coming soon. On Tuesday January 17th Mayor Steve DiNatale will be visiting my 12:15 Government class. Come ready with questions for the mayor. I will post pictures of the visit next week.
